I worked with the <a title=\"BATC\" href=\"http:\/\/www.batc.tv\" target=\"_blank\">BATC <\/a>to make streaming possible, by providing a wired gateway service over WiFI to connect the streaming computer. Also, I presented on behalf of my employer &#8211; <a title=\"ISIS\" href=\"http:\/\/isispace.nl\" target=\"_blank\">ISIS<\/a> &#8211; the current work on the World Radio Conference agenda to establish a definition for nanosatellites, in order to try and get the coordination \/ notification \/ filing process changed. This way, educational and institutional satellites can move out of the radio amateur bands and file for commercial spectrum.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><strong>Resolution 757 (COM6\/10) (WRC-12) Regulatory aspects for nano- and pico satellites<\/strong><br \/>\n<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">invites ITU-R <\/span><br \/>\nto examine the procedures for notifying space networks and consider possible modifications to enable the deployment and operation of nano- satellites and pico satellites, taking into account the short development time, short mission time and unique orbital characteristics,<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">instructs the Director of the Radiocommunication Bureau<\/span><br \/>\nto report to WRC-15 on the results of these studies<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The long term goals of this agenda item are easier \/ faster access to spectrum for experimental \/ Proof-Of-Concept satellites with a short mission duration. and for the Amateur radio community: reduce \u201cimproper use\u201d of the amateur satellite service by satellites that are not strictly compliant with the definition of an amateur satellite.<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to contribute, then please contact your national administration and ask them to support the work to simplify the notification process!<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have put my pictures online at http:\/\/www.pa3weg.nl\/photos\/AMSAT-UK2013\/ At the AMSAT-UK Colloquium I presented various projects, including FUNcube and the new exciting QB50 precursor flight opportunity.
